Shame he didn't fall in to the filthy mud under the bridge, At the very least the youth should be charged with trespass.
Youngster James Corr slammed by council - and his own mum - for death-defying 'stunt' on top of Foryd Harbour Bridge
A teenager walks up the arch of Rhyl 's blue bridge before performing a death-defying back flip.
James Corr admitted to the Daily Post that his mum went mad when he showed her the footage of his exploits, which were filmed by a friend.
Although the youngster was in hot water at home, North Wales Police said no offence had been committed.
But Denbighshire council condemned the stunt - which took place on Saturday at the Foryd Harbour Bridge - saying such activities were a serious safety risk.
James, 16, from Colwyn Bay said he’d spent the last year mastering the trick before finally plucking up the courage to take it further.
He said: "I know people say free-running is stupid and antisocial and everyone’s entitled to their own opinions.
“I wouldn’t do it if I didn’t think it was in my ability and if I’d have got up on the bridge and had even the slightest doubt, I wouldn’t have done it.
“I know the risks but I also know my limits.”
College student, James added: “I’ve been free-running for nearly four years now, when I started, I fell in love with it and it’s always really exciting to try new things.
“I remember speaking to people about wanting to do a back flip on the bridge and they said 'Don’t do it, it’s crazy’, but it’s been something I’ve wanted to do for quite a while now.
“I practised backflips landing on walls a lot thinner and must have done it hundreds of times before I climbed the bridge.
“Stunt-wise, this is the biggest and riskiest I’ve done so far.”
James, who studies media and has ambitions to become either a film-maker or professional free-runner is already thinking about his next “big stunt.”
“To me, it’s all about proving to myself that I can do it.
“I like to push myself to my ultimate limit.
“I want to be able to look back and say, 'Wow, I’ve actually done this'.
“The feeling is incredible.”
He added: “When I landed the backflip on the bridge, it gave me an overwhelming feeling that I’ve only ever had a handful of times.
“It’s a feeling I don’t get from anything else.”
In 2013, two teenagers hit the headlines for scaling the iconic blue structure and were branded as “stupid and irresponsible.”
A Denbighshire council spokeswoman said: “We don’t condone this kind of irresponsible behaviour. It needlessly puts personal safety at risk and possibly the safety of others too.”
A North Wales Police spokeswoman said the force wouldn’t comment because “no crime has been committed.”
