A knife-wielding man was arrested by firearms officers in Holywell last night.
North Wales Police were called to an address in Whitford Street in the town at 11.23pm.
According to a spokesman for the force, there were reports from members of public that a man was in “possession of a knife and acting irrationally”.
Armed officers and the police dog unit attended the scene and a 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of threatening behaviour.
He remains in police custody.
A spokesman for North Wales Police said a knife was recovered from the scene.
A Facebook post from North Wales Police’s dog section said: “PD Zak was deployed to a firearms incident tonight where one person was safely arrested by the firearms team.”
