A teenager has been sentenced to three years custody for biting off the ear of an innocent man in the street - and then boasting that he'd swallowed it.
Thomas Bradwick, 18, lunged at passer-by Ian Curtis as he chatted with a friend in a "vicious and unprovoked attack".
Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court heard drunken Bradwick punched him in the face before biting off the top of his victim's ear in a scuffle.
The court heard Bradwick - who had already thrown a beer bottle as he hanged around with a gang of youths - shouted: "Look boys I've got his ear in my month."

Middle-aged Mr Curtis was in agony when Bradwick told him: "I've had your ear already. I swallowed it and I'll have your f*****g nose next."
Prosecutor Ieuan Morris said: "This was a sickening, mindless attack on a middle-aged man."
Mr Curtis was left with a deformed ear after cartilage and a section of skin were torn off in the attack in Mill Street, Pontypridd, in August.
Bradwick, of Harcourt Road, Mountain Ash, admitted affray and wounding Mr Curtis with intent to do him grievous bodily harm.
Andrew Taylor, defending, said that Bradwick had had a troubled background so his mother leaving the family when he was young and recognised that the root cause of his offending was alcohol.
"He was plainly out of control," he said.
He added that he hoped to rejoin the well-paid carpentry apprenticeship scheme he had been part of before being sent into custody.

"He cannot explain or excuse why or what he did that day. He was very drunk and there was an element of showing off," Mr Taylor said.
Judge William Gaskell said: "Your behaviour was thoroughly obnoxious. You gloried in what you had done. You gloried in your violence."
Bradwick was sent to a young offender institution for three years and ordered to pay a £120 victim surcharge.
