The thief has now confessed to his fowl crime in Swansea's Flickering Light pub
A reveller who stole a pub’s antique chicken, danced with it and hurled it out of a window has owned up – six months on.
The bird named Harry was pinched from its perch on the bar at the Flickering Light pub in Swansea.
CCTV footage showed two men dancing with the chicken before disappearing from view in October last year.
And a few feathers were ruffled when Harry was found destroyed having being thrown from a window.
But six months later the culprit has come forward and shelled out for a replacement chicken.
Bar owner Noah Redfern, said: “The person responsible for taking the chicken felt the need to redeem himself. He came to me via a mutual friend, and apologised profusely.
“He said he wanted to replace it, but there are not many of these things out there.
“The one that we now have came from Australia, and cost £70. I had already found one on the internet, and he offered to pay for it.
“It is bigger than the original one we had, and everyone seems to love him. He already feels like part of the furniture. It has been very popular.”
