Police are appealing for information after a man allegedly approached an 11-year-old girl and grabbed her by the wrist.
The man, thought to be around 30, allegedly grabbed the girl’s wrist while walking behind her before she ran home and told her mother, who called the police.
North Wales Police say the incident happened on Wednesday, March 16, at around 5.50pm near the junction of Water Street and Peel Street, in the Abergele area.
The man is described as being white, around 5ft 7ins tall, with short dark hair, of medium build, wearing a dark long-sleeved top and dark green cargo-type trousers, with pockets on the sides.
Neighbourhood policing sergeant Andrea Verburg said: “The man, who appeared drunk, was walking behind the girl when he grabbed her wrist.
“She managed to pull her arm away and ran back to her home where her mother called the police.
“An extensive search of the are was conducted and house-to-house enquiries were made at that time.
“Further enquiries are ongoing and high visibility patrols are being undertaken in a bid to identify the male.”
