At least a hectare of the hillside is ablaze as three fire crews on Anglesey battle to put out the flames
A huge gorse fire has broken out on Holyhead mountain.
At least one hectare of gorse and bracken is ablaze on the mountain and firefighters are at the scene.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service have scrambled three crews from Holyhead, Rhosneigr and Llangefni to put out the fire, which broke out after 7pm
A fire service spokesman told the Daily Post: “Crews are currently dealing with the fire.
“They are using a hose reel and beaters.”
The cause of the fire has yet to be confirmed but this incident comes after arsonists deliberately started a blaze in Gwynedd.
About 80 square metres of gorse was torched on Bangor Mountain.
