VANDALS damaged ticket machines at a town centre car park.
The machines at the People’s Market car park in Chester Street, Wrexham, were targeted over the bank holiday weekend, leaving motorists with no way of paying for their stay.
They remain out of action and it is not yet known when they are likely to be fixed.
Cllr David A Bithell, Wrexham Council’s lead member for environment and transport, said: “We can confirm that parking machines on floors throughout the People’s Market were damaged over the bank holiday weekend. North Wales Police have been informed of the damage to the machines.
“The machines affected will be investigated by engineers, and the costs of any repairs or replacement machines will be examined.
“We apologise for any disruption caused in the meantime.”
