A MAN who broke into an office and stole a safe and other items made-off with his ill-gotten gains in a wheelie bin, a court has heard.
David Bastiman was caught on CCTV wheeling the booty away from the Europcar depot in Llanelli in January last year.

Swansea Crown Court heard that Bastiman was linked to that burglary — and a break-in at the offices of the Millennium Coast Path — by his trainers.
Thomas Scapens, for the prosecution, said when the manager of the car hire company opened for business he found paperwork scattered over the office, a charity box broken into, and the office safe, a laptop computer and satnav devices missing — along with 14 sets of car keys.
Mr Scapens said that when CCTV was checked, Bastiman and another man were seen making off from the premises with a wheelie bin.
The second break-in happened three weeks later at the offices of the Millennium Coast Path — among the items taken from a staff room were a shovel, a chain-saw safety suit and a bucket.
Bastiman was arrested the same night as the second break-in, when officers intercepted a Peugeot van on Station Road in Llanelli.
The court heard that the van drove-off from officers, who gave chase, eventually cornering the van in a narrow lane nearby and arresting the occupants.
The court heard there were a number of items in the van including bolt cutters, torches, gloves and a crowbar.
The court was told that the footwear Bastiman was wearing matched prints left at the scenes of both break-ins — on pieces of paper scattered around the Europcar office and on a door in the footpath office which had been kicked in.
Bastiman, aged 29, of Heol Elfed, Llwynhendy, Llanelli, had previously pleaded guilty to burglary when he appeared for sentencing.
He was given a 12 month sentence suspended for 12 months for each burglary, the sentences to run concurrently. He must also do 150 hours of unpaid work and a thinking skills programme.
Judge Paul Thomas QC told him: "It is about time you began acting as a big boy, not as a little one."
