Police issued the order for the Regent Street restaurant after claims of swearing and abuse

Alleged bad behaviour at McDonald’s got a youth arrested and banned from Wrexham’s town centre.
Police placed a dispersal order on the Regent Street fast food restaurant two weeks ago, following allegations of swearing and of staff being abused.
A juvenile was arrested during the first two days of the order, and was banned from the local area for 48 hours after being given a dispersal notice.
However, he returned the next evening and was arrested for breaching the dispersal notice and a “verbal outburst to a PCSO”, said police.
A spokeswoman for North Wales Police said: “He has been bailed to the Youth Offending Team later this month with a condition not to enter Wrexham town centre.”
Officers have spoken to others at the town centre McDonald’s about their behaviour, which has stopped short of the need to give a dispersal notice.
Police say this has had a good effect on behaviour at the restaurant.
The order allows police to disperse individuals or groups behaving badly in public places and ban them from the area for up to 48 hours.
A McDonald’s spokesman said: “McDonald’s is one of several locations in the Wrexham area where measures are in place to tackle anti-social behaviour.
“Our priority is to ensure that our staff and customers have an enjoyable experience in our restaurants.
“We therefore take a zero tolerance approach when it comes to disruptive behaviour and support measures police find necessary.”
