Two scenes are roped off by police after a man was found injured and two others were taken into custody

Police have launched a murder investigation after a man died following an alleged stabbing in the Ely area of Cardiff.
Two separate cordons were put in place after reports of a stabbing were received at about 11.30am.
A man who was found injured in Glyndwr Road, close to the junction with Archer Road, died despite attempts to revive him.
Two men – aged 37 and 58 – have been arrested and remain in custody at Cardiff Bay police station.
Police sealed off part of Glyndwr Road and flats on Mill Road, confirming both scenes were part of the same investigation into the man’s death.
South Wales Police spokeswoman said: “The man was treated in Glyndwr Road by paramedics and doctors from the Welsh Ambulance Service and the Welsh Air Ambulance following a report of a stabbing at 11.31am.
“Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he died at the scene.
“A number of scenes are currently being held in the Ely area of Cardiff, and are being forensically examined by crime scene investigators.”
Superintendent Andy Valentine, head of operational policing in Cardiff, said: “I would like to reassure the public that detectives will be working into the evening to establish the circumstances leading to the incident.
“Specifically trained officers will be supporting family members at this difficult time and extra patrols continue to reassure the public.”
Some neighbours were unable to return to their homes while police investigations continued and others spoke of their distress at what had happened.
Pete Sullivan, who runs the Ely Garden Villagers group, said: “This has come as a real shock, it’s horrible. It’s just such a shame that this has happened.
“This is why we have fought so hard to keep kids off the street and into football or play centres.”
He added: “I think the whole community is going to be totally devastated. Because of the unfortunate way Ely is perceived anyway, what we will have again is ‘typical Ely’.
“So much has gone on up here to change the way Ely is perceived and this is just a bit of a kick in the teeth.”
Witnesses, or anyone with information, have been asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 5551111, quoting reference number 1600074040.
