Police are appealing for information after a man approached a young girl in the Abergele area.
The incident happened at around 5.50pm on Wednesday, March 16 when an 11-year- old girl was grabbed by her wrist near the junction of Water Street and Peel Street.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said the man is described as being white, approximately 30 years of age, about 5’7” tall with short dark hair, of medium build, and was wearing a dark long sleeved top and dark green cargo type trousers, with pockets on the sides.
Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant Andrea Verburg said: “The man, who appeared drunk, was walking behind the girl when he grabbed her wrist. She managed to pull her arm away and ran back to her home where her mother called the police.”
"An extensive search of the area was conducted and house to house enquiries were made at that time. Further enquiries are ongoing and high visibility patrols are being undertaken in a bid to identify the male.”
Sgt Verburg added: “I would ask anyone with information or who may have seen a male matching the description in the area of Water Street and Peel Street to contact PC2980 Dunkley at Police on 101 quoting event reference RC16038135."
Alternatively, anyone who has information can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or contact the control room direct via the new web live chat facility.
