Swansea,South Wales - Police called after driver with head injuries found wandering on Loughor Bridge

Stephen Randell James pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen at Swansea Magistrates Court
A MAN found wandering on Loughor Bridge with head injuries at 4am has appeared in court — after refusing to take a breath test.
Swansea Magistrates Court heard that Stephen Randell James was seen on the bridge in the early hours of February 13 and given a lift home to Burry Port by concerned passers-by.
The 37-year-old told the Good Samaritans he had been involved in an accident, and when they noticed his head was bleeding they became concerned for his welfare.
The court heard that the people who had given him a lift then returned to Loughor Bridge - and when they saw James' Jaguar on a slipway leading down to the river, they called police
Dyfed-Powys Police officers later went to James' house and gave him a breath test, which he failed — he was taken to a police station where he subsequently refused an evidential test on a more accurate machine.

James, of New Street, Burry Port, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen for analysis when he appeared before justices.
Mark Davies, for James, said his client had been out with work colleagues on the night in question and had drunk a couple of glasses of wine. The solicitor said that "as a result of personal matters which he has decided not to instruct me upon" James left the party early to drive home but had lost control of his car near Loughor Bridge and ended up driving down an embankment and hitting a wall.
The solicitor said James had suffered head injuries in a crash and then had "misunderstood" that he needed to undergo a second breath test at the police station.
He added: "This was not a deliberate refusal, but a misunderstanding."
James was disqualified from driving for three years, and fined £450.
