NORTH Wales Police have seized a quantity of what are believed to be Class A drugs in Llangefni.
Officers were executing a Misuse of Drugs Act search warrant at an address in Pencraig on Thursday, March 10.
PC David Heppenstall at Holyhead Police Station said: “Following the execution of a search warrant, a local man and woman were arrested on suspicion of being in possession of Class A controlled drugs. The male was subsequently charged with the offence.”
The seizure was the result of continued targeting into the supply and possession of controlled drugs on Anglesey - part of Operation Scorpion's aim of investigating and eradicating serious organised crime across North Wales.
PC Heppenstall added: “Possession and distribution of controlled drugs will not be tolerated in our local communities and we will continue to take positive, robust action where necessary."
Police stressed the value of community intelligence in battling organised drugs crimes.
