A lamb died after it was attacked by a dog in the Llandudno area at the weekend.
Police are appealing for information after the incident, which is believed to have happened sometime between 12.30pm and 1pm on Sunday, February 28, on Bryniau Hill when a large brown coloured whippet or lurcher type dog attacked the six week old lamb.
A police spokesperson stated that prior to the incident it is believed the dog was being walked by two women in their 20's, one of whom was described as having shoulder length blond hair and the other was described as shoulder length brown hair, and that from inquiries, it is believed that the dog slipped off the lead.
PC Dave Allen of the rural crime team said: "Inquiries are underway and we would urge the two people or the owner/s of the dog to come forward and get in touch with us."
The dog owner and anyone with information can call members of the rural crime team on 101 quoting event number U029499.
