Smoke could be seen billowing for miles around after the fire in the Carneddau range on Sunday afternoon

Smoke could be seen billowing for miles after a mountain-side fire in Conwy .
Eyewitnesses described seeing the smoke from “quite a distance” from the fire at the Tal Y Fan peak of the Carneddau mountains near the village of Henryd.
The blaze began around 1.30pm on Sunday.
One eyewitness told the Daily Post: “It could be seen for miles.
“The fire brigade are trying to reach it but it’s high on the side of the mountain.
“I did think it was cloud at first but quickly realised the mountain was on fire.
A spokeswoman for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said a cause has not been established.
The spokeswoman added: “We received the call at 1.29pm.
“One crew from Llandudno and an off-road vehicle from Conwy are in attendance.
“The off-road vehicle is trying to get to the fire as it’s on high ground and a bit out of the way.
“We’ve received a few calls on this from people in Llandudno and Dwygyfylch
