Rhyl,North Wales - Girl, 4, knocked down by cyclist prompts police appeal to trace rider


POLICE have released a CCTV image of a cyclist they want to trace after a little girl was knocked over in Rhyl. Four-year-old Freya Thomas was left badly bruised after a cyclist hit her and then rode off once hed checked his bike was okay. Her mum, Carly said she was left dumbfounded after the incident on the prom behind Rhyl SeaQuarium on East Parade on Tuesday afternoon.

Police have released a CCTV image of a cyclist they want to trace after a young girl was knocked over in Rhyl.
Four-year-old Freya Thomas was badly bruised after a cyclist hit her - and then rode off once he checked his bike was okay.
Her mum, Carly said she was “dumbfounded” after the incident on East Parade on Tuesday.
She said he didn’t show any concern for her crying child or ask how she was.
North Wales Police have now released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

A spokesman said: “We would urge the man to get in touch.
“The local sergeant has examined the scene and is in talks with Denbighshire Councilabout the path.”
Since the Daily Post ran the story, locals blasted the condition of the cycle path claiming the pavement markings are faded.
One said: “The last time I cycled this route, the cycleway route was very poorly marked - faded out completely in places. If pedestrians and cyclists can’t work out where they’re supposed to be, then conflict is bound to be worse than it needs to be.”

Anyone with information on the incident, is urge
