A woman was assaulted and “knocked unconscious” in an alleged row over a parking space in Prestatyn.
Officers were called after reports of an altercation between a man and woman at the town’s market shortly after 8am today and confirmed a woman had been assaulted.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokeswoman she was taken by ambulance to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.
One eyewitness claimed the incident was sparked by “an altercation over parking”.
He added: “The ambulance service and police were both in attendance.”
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We were called shortly after 8am to reports a woman had been assaulted in Prestatyn.
“We sent a crew in an emergency ambulance to the scene, and the woman was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.”
A North Wales Police spokesman said: “We were called just after 8am to reports a woman was assaulted by a man at Prestatyn market.
“Enquiries are ongoing following an altercation between a man and a woman.”
Police say no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
