A female police officer suffered a broken leg during an arrest at a North Wales farm, a court was told today.
Callum Alex Williams, 18, of Llidiart Fanny Farm, Adwy near Coedpoeth , Wrexham , appeared from custody at Flintshire magistrates’ court at Mold.
He was bailed to appear at a plea hearing at Mold Crown Court next month.
Williams is charged with causing criminal damage to a Peugeot car, two charges of assault on police with intent to resist arrest, assaulting a police officer and a charge of wounding the female officer with intent to cause GBH.
Prosecutor Rhian Jackson, who said that the officer was in hospital and was due to receive surgery for a broken leg, applied for a remand in custody.
Brian Cross, defending, applied for bail and magistrates agreed that he should be bailed on condition that he lives at his home address, observes a 12 hour curfew from 6pm to 6am, and does not contact prosecution witnesses apart from his own mother.
Williams was told that his next court appearance would be on July 15 at the crown court.
