A DRUNKEN former soldier was abusive to an ambulance crew who were called to help him, a court heard.
Justin Espie, prosecuting at Wrexham Magistrates Court, said ambulance personnel called police to help deal with Kevin Owen Jones’ abusive behaviour at Wrexham Technology Park in Croesnewydd Road on June 4.
Jones, 28, who pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place, shouted and swore at officers and was arrested after his behaviour continued.
Catherine Jagger, defending, said Jones wished to apologise to the court for his behaviour. The former soldier suffered from post traumatic stress disorder, but had been in rehabilitation and kept out of trouble for a ‘good period’, Miss Jagger said.
Jones, who gave an address on Bryn Estyn Road, was still trying to stop drinking, Miss Jagger told the court.
District judge Gwyn Jones gave Jones credit for his guilty plea and fined him £120. He must also pay £85 in prosecution costs and a £30 surcharge.
