Swansea,South Wales - Tenby trip ends with Swansea man punching pub window and fighting with police

Brian Thomas from Penlan pleased guilty to criminal damage and obstructing police at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court
A WEEKEND away in Pembrokeshire with his partner ended in a court appearance for a Swansea man.
Brian Thomas was "trying to get his partner's attention" as she sat in the Twisted Shamrock pub in Tenby when he hit a window pane so hard it smashed.
When police approached him he resisted arrest — and during the ensuing struggle kicked-out and damaged a parked car.
Thomas, aged 37, of Clwyd Road, Penlan, admitted two counts of criminal damage and obstructing three constables in the execution of their duties when he appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates Court.
The court heard that in his police interview Thomas told officers his partner had "wound him up" and he had only "tapped" the window.
Kate Williams, in mitigation, said Thomas was "extremely sorry" for his actions.
The solicitor added: "He is a family man who works full time. He made a mistake on the day in question. It started with a row with his partner, and it escalated. He is deeply regretful and remorseful for how he acted."
Thomas was fined £200 and ordered to pay £45 compensation to the Twisted Shamrock and £200 to the owner of the car he damaged. He must also pay £115 in costs and surcharges.
