A MAN has admitted breaking into a pub.
Shaun Christopher Lloyd, 30, of Queen’s Road, Greenfield, appeared from custody at Flintshire Magistrates Court in Mold and admitted stealing £40 in cash from The Old Tavern at Llanerchymor, near Mostyn, on Friday.
He was bailed pending sentence by magistrates next month.
Applying for him to be remanded in custody Andrew Slight, prosecuting, said Lloyd had previous convictions for 104 offences.
Gary Rawlinson, defending, successfully applied for bail pending sentence and said his client was desperate for help with his drugs problem.
He was an intelligent man who had written his own letter to the court in which he told how he needed help before his life was ruined.
“I don’t want to lead this life,” he said. “I don’t know how to get the help I need to get off the drugs. I need intervention and support.”
Lloyd was bailed on condition he lives at home, reports to police and observes a night time tagged curfew.
The court heard how the flat above the pub was occupied at the time.
The complainant got up and went downstairs to get a drink of water and noticed someone in the pub.
Lloyd was recognised and the police were alerted. He was arrested but at the stage denied he had entered the pub.
Further allegations of damage and assault dating back to March, which he denied, were dropped when the prosecution offered no evidence against him.
