CHILDREN have been throwing objects at cars being driven along a main road, a council has heard.
PSCO Nicole Smith told Coedpoeth Community Council that police had received reports of children as young as five “throwing things at cars” near the travellers’ site on Ruthin Road just outside the village.
She added: “For the past two months it’s nearly every day, we’re getting calls at different times of the day.”
PCSO Smith said that it was only sergeants who go to the site to ask about the incidents “as they are quite hostile to us”.
A sergeant was due to go to the site again to “try to tackle the younger ones”.
She said that the calls did not identify the children involved.
“They do it, then we get a call and they’re gone by the time we get there, so it’s hard to identify them,” she said.
