Drug dealer Andre Martins, 30,  was told that he had thrown his good reputation away by a judge at Caernarfon crown court today

A drug dealer was arrested by police after he tried to sell cocaine - to a trading standards officer.
Forklift driver Andre Martins attempted to flog 16 wraps of the drug to a doorman stood outside a pub on Llandudno ’s main thoroughfare.
But what he didn’t know was that the bouncer was the manager of the pub who happened to be a trading standards officer.
Martins, 30, of Worcester Court in Sefton, Bootle, appeared at Caernarfon crown court today charges with offering to supply cocaine and possessing the Class A drug.
He was also charged with causing criminal damage to a police cell after he scrawled graffiti on the room’s window sill following his arrest.
He pleaded guilty to all charges and was jailed for 28 months for his crimes
Jailing him, judge Philip Harris-Jenkins said that suppliers of Class A drugs “offer misery to those they supply.”
He also said it was a sad case for Martins who previously had an unblemished record as a family man and a worker.

'Biggest mistake'

“You have thrown it all away on this particular night when you acted in the stupid way you did,” he added.
Ryan Rothwell, prosecuting, described how at 11.45pm on March 18 he’d asked the landlord outside the pub in Mostyn Street whether he wanted to buy cocaine and produced a tube of white powder.
Later he admitted what had happened to the police and said he’d been drinking.
Ffion Tomos, defending, described it as “rather a sad case.”
Martins, a father, had got in with the wrong crowd after his marriage had broken up and was persuaded to take cocaine as a relief.
That led to an addiction, things spiralled out of control and he tried to sell the drug to fund his habit.
He was extremely remorseful and referred to what had happened “as the biggest mistake I’ve ever made.”
