Rhyl,North Wales - Burglars break into Rhyl business...and leave this 'disgusting' calling card

Human excrement and rubbish were left at a Rhyl car park visited by travellers over the weekend, while a nearby business was broken into and vandalised.

Human excrement and rubbish were left at the East Parade car park, which was visited by travellers over the weekend

A clean-up operation is now underway at the East Parade car park, where travellers arrived late on Friday night .

About 12 caravans parked up at the site on what was one of the busiest weekends of the year in Rhyl, as it featured events linked with the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations and yesterday’s Race For Life.
The travellers left on Sunday afternoon, and the director of a nearby kitesurfing business says he found human faeces and rubbish in the car park after their departure.
Simon Jones of Pro Kitesurfing, whose business was also broken into on Saturday night, said: “It’s a disgusting situation.
“There is human faeces all over the place, with toilet paper everywhere.
“My business was broken into and, although I had taken away all my equipment, green paint was taken and thrown all over the place outside, causing a right mess.
“Whoever has done this got through a window, so that’s broken too.
“Another nearby business owner spotted eight people on my roof.
“I’ve reported the matter to the police, but I’ve already been told it’s going to be hard to prove who did all this."
Rhyl councillor Joan Butterfield said the news was “hugely disappointing and frustrating”.
“This is very bad news, as this weekend was all about showcasing what the town has achieved over the last 18 months,” she said.
A spokeswoman for North Wales Police said: “We can confirm travellers entered an unsecured car park on East Parade in Rhyl.
“Enquiries are ongoing as to the damage caused at the Pro Kitesurfing school.”
