“People looked frightened, they were screaming and it was all very surreal.
“I felt very worried and I didn’t know what was going on but I just ran in the same direction as everyone else.
“I saw some people hiding behind a car near the station watching what was going on.”
Two men, aged 16 and 22, have been arrested in relation to the incident and are being held in police custody, South Wales Police said.
It happened at the same time as thousands of fans were leaving the Cardiff fanzone.
Inspector Andy Walbeoff, of South Wales Police, said officers were called to Wood Street at 7.20pm.
He said initial reports suggested that those involved had not been in the fanzone but had been seen in the city centre earlier in the afternoon.
“The information from witnesses was that they may be in possession of weapons, but no weapons have been recovered,” see-http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/frightening-moment-large-crowd-runs-11526850
