Heartless thieves have struck at a children’s hospice by breaking into sheds and stealing tools worth around £1,000.
Ty Gobaith - a charity that provides specialist nursing care and support to terminally ill youngsters and their families - was targeted on Wednesday night.
Staff say two strimmers, a leaf blower and other gardening items were stolen from two sheds at their site in the Conwy Valley.
The equipment is used by employees and volunteers to maintain the tranquil gardens for the children as well as bereaved relatives who visit the hospice for counselling.

Andy Goldsmith, chief executive of Tŷ Gobaith and Hope House, said: “I am shocked and stunned by the cruel and heartless act of the individuals involved.
“How anyone could consider targeting a charity that supports seriously ill children and their families is beyond any level of understanding.
“Our staff, volunteers, supporters and the families we support will be hugely disappointed to learn of this news, as will the local communities who so kindly help us in many ways.
“We have informed the police and they are doing all they can to ensure that the culprits are identified as soon as possible.”
Last year, Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith supported over 380 children and more than 450 families, including those who are bereaved.
In 2015, it cost £6m to provide such vital services.
A North Wales Police spokeswoman said an investigation is underway.
She said: “We had a report of a break-in in a garden shed at Ty Gobaith sometime between 5pm on June 15 and 9am on June 16.
“Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact 101, quoting incident reference number U088173.”
