Ex Bala Town FC player admits cocaine heroin and cannabis conspiracy

A former Welsh Premier League midfielder is to be sentenced over his part in a colossal £16m drugs plot.
Stephen Brown, who played for Bala Town FC from 2011 until last year, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court alongside former Everton FC youth player Stephen Hussey.
Both men were arrested after police made the record seizure from homes in Wavertree and Liverpool city centre.
Brown, 31, and Hussey, 32, admitted cocaine, heroin and cannabis conspiracies.
Both are former semi-professional footballers, who used to play together at Marine FC in Crosby.
Brown, of Abbey Close, Kirkby, joined Bala Town from Marine in 2011.
A spokesman for Bala Town confirmed that the midfielder, described as a pacy right winger, left the club in October last year.
Hussey, of Gentwood Road, Huyton, was on the books of Everton FC as a junior.
The court heard detectives found the huge stash at two properties in Liverpool on May 16.
Police said a number of vehicles were seized, including a van which was full of drugs.
With an estimated street value of £16m, the find is thought to be the biggest made by Titan, the north west’s regional organised crime unit.
Hussey and Brown both pleaded guilty to three drugs conspiracies, carried out between November 1 2015 and May 17 this year.
They will be sentenced on August 1 and have both been remanded in custody.
