Firefighters from Wrexham were called to deal with a blazing motorcycle in Vicarage Fields, Ruabon earlier this morning.
The alarm was raised at 2.46am.
One appliance attended and quickly brought the fire under control.
An investigation found the machine had been deliberately set on fire and North Wales Police have been informed
There have been a spate of car fires in the Wrexham area in recent months.
Earlier this month police launched an investigation after three cars were vandalised on nearby streets in Llay, Wrexham.
Almost half of all of North Wales' deliberate blazes last year took place in Wrexham.
In Caia Park alone arsonists have struck 55 times last year.
Last year then, North Wales Police and Crime Commissioner Winston Roddick set aside £10,000 to tackle the growing problem.
