A SWANSEA man who launched an attack on a naked neighbour using a rock from an ornamental water feature inside a sock as a weapon has been jailed.
Ascen Bradley Walsh woke a fellow resident in the Griffith John Street flats just after noon and hit him about the head and body and with the weighted-sock in a dispute over £15.

Swansea Crown Court heard the 47-year-old has a history of committing violent offences including battery, common assault and actual bodily harm dating back to when he was a juvenile in 1985.
Craig Jones, prosecuting, said Walsh had gone into his victim's flat with a glass jug full of "brown liquid" - either beer of cider - just after noon on April 9 and woken the sleeping occupant. Walsh was then "ushered" out of the flat into the communal area whereupon he produced a sock with a rock in it, and set about his naked victim, hitting him to the head and body.
The court heard that the victim ended-up "on the ground on all-fours" and Walsh continued to hit him. The victim managed to get to his feet and disarm the attacker — he later said he took the rock out of the sock and recognised it as one from an indoor water-feature from Walsh's flat.
Walsh, aged 47, of Griffith John Street, Brynmelyn, Swansea, had previously pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possessing an offensive weapon — the rock in a sock — when he appeared in the dock for sentencing.
Andrew Evans, for Walsh, said his client accepted that the dispute between the parties over moneys owed "should have been resolved without recourse to violence".
He said his client had moved to Swansea from London in 2008 and had stayed out of trouble until 2015 when he lost his job, adding "when he has time on his hands he starts drinking".
The advocate added his client had now "removed himself from Swansea and the people he was associating with" and returning to London.
Walsh was sentenced to 20 months in prison, and made the subject of a three-year restraining order banning him from contacting his victim
