A four-year-old girl was left badly bruised after being knocked over by a cyclist - who checked his bike was OK and then rode off.
Now Freya Thomas’ mum Carly is appealing for information about the rider, who didn't even check whether her daughter was okay.
The incident happened on Rhyl promenade behind the back of the SeaQuarium on East Parade just after midday on Tuesday.
Police have confirmed they are now investigating and have asked for help trying to track down the cyclist.
Carly said: “We were walking along the prom with friends and family when I heard a loud scream.
“I looked around to find my little girl on the floor tangled up in a bicycle with a man who was in his late 30s/early 40s.
“After checking his bike was all right, he picked it up and rode off, paying absolutely no attention to my distraught and injured daughter whatsoever.
“He didn’t even ask if she was okay. We were all dumbfounded.”
Carly added: “He was wearing all the cycling gear so he must be out on his bike a lot.
“I reported it to the police and they said they were looking at CCTV footage.
“This man should not be allowed to get away with this.
“I’m concerned that this could happen again, but next time the outcome could be very different.”
A North Wales Police spokesman said: “We can confirm we are investigating reports of a male cyclist colliding with a four-year-old on Rhyl prom shortly after 12 noon on May 31.
“We are making enquiries to trace the cyclist, described as being aged mid to late 30s, wearing black and white cycling gear and riding a black and white road bike.”
Anyone with information or who witnessed the incident, is urged to call police on 101 quoting reference number U078874.”
