Two people have been arrested after a man was stabbed in Holywell .
Police have arrested a 44-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman on suspicion of wounding after an incident in Nant Eon at 10.15pm, yesterday.
The 37-year-old victim was stabbed twice and remains in hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries, say police.
Inspector Ceri Hawe of North Wales Police said: “North Wales Police are investigating an incident that occurred in Nant Eos, Holywell, at around 10.15pm last night, where a male was discovered having suffered two stab wounds that required hospital treatment.”
A North Wales Police spokesman added: “A 37-year-old man is being treated in hospital for serious but non- life threatening injuries.
“A 44-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of wounding and are currently in police custody.”
Residents in the street today told the Daily Post that they saw the aftermath of the incident.
One resident said: “I saw the police and ambulance. I’m just glad my child wasn’t playing in the street.”
Another said: “I saw a man being carried out in a chair - it didn’t look good.”
A third resident added: “Nothing surprises me these days. Most people here keep themselves to themselves.”
