A couple have appeared in court accused of stabbing a man at a house in Holywell.
Anthony Nugent, 44, and Tracey Wilson, 45, of Nant Eos, are both charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm on Neil Johnson.
The pair, who were dressed all in grey and spoke only to confirm their names and ages, appeared in the dock at Wrexham Magistrates Court today.
The alleged incident happened at a house in Nant Eos, owned by Wilson, shortly after 10pm on Wednesday, June 1.
The court heard that Mr Johnson was found by paramedics at the property with a 5cm stab wound to his abdomen which left part of his bowel exposed.
He also had a stab wound to the left hand side of his chest.
The 37-year-old remains at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in a stable condition.
No pleas were entered at this stage and separate bail applications were made.
Wilson was given conditional bail, but Nugent was remanded in custody.
The case was sent to Mold Crown Court where the pair will next appear on July 1.
