A 10-YEAR-old boy climbed out a hotel window and on to the roof during the early hours of the morning.
North Wales Police and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to the Fiorenzo Cazari Hotel, on East Parade in Rhyl, on Tuesday (June 7) at about 1am.

One eye-witness saw hotel staff helping the boy back through the window. It is understood that the boy’s parents were not in the room – but showed up “minutes” later when Police arrived on the scene.

The witness said: “Police officers and the fire service were both were called to the scene.

”We woke up in the early hours of the morning to a little boy screaming for help. My girlfriend talked to the boy and got him to sit down and move back towards the building.

“Hotel workers got ladders and got the boy back through the window. A hotel worker went through the window with the boy and the parents were not there. They showed up a few minutes later when police arrived.”

North Wales Police confirmed that the boy was unharmed after the incident.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We responded at 1.45am on Tuesday, June 7 to a 10-year-old who was on the roof of a hotel in Rhyl on East Parade.

”On arrival, the boy had returned inside the hotel and was located with staff and was unharmed.

“No offences were disclosed but details have been shared with our Vulnerable People Unit and Social Services.”

A spokesperson from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service added: “We were called at 1.43am on June 7. Two appliances were sent from Rhyl but no action was taken – the boy had been rescued. Any further action was left to the police.”
