POLICE in Rhyl are appealing for help after an attempt was made to take a woman’s handbag.
The incident happened at around 12.45pm on Wednesday, June 1 when the victim was stood on the corner of Wellington Road and Bodfor Street near the traffic lights.
The victim felt someone pull at her handbag but kept a strong hold of her bag and on looking behind saw a man. Following an exchange of words, the man fled towards Queen Street.
A spokesperson said: “Our inquiries are continuing and we are appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity at the time or who witnessed the incident to please get in touch with us. We are also keen to trace the male who is described as white, between 19 and 20 years of age and 5ft 9’ tall. He was described as wearing a dark yellow short sleeved t shirt and black coloured tracksuit bottoms.”
