A second man, aged 30 and from the Wrexham area, was also arrested during the operation.
He has been interviewed and released on police bail pending further investigations.
DCI Neil Harrison said: “I would like to thank the community of Caia Park for their understanding yesterday during the operation.
“I know some found the sight of armed officers and dog handlers on the estate alarming, but it was necessary to progress the operation with minimum risk to the public.
“The comments and reaction from the public have been extremely positive and I am grateful for their support. The community is a safer place as a result of this action.”
