TWO men have been arrested by police investigating serious and organised crime in Holyhead.
North Wales Police executed several search warrants in the port town on Monday under Section Eight of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act in connection with Serious and Organised Crime.
A 32-year-old was arrested on suspicion of money laundering after a substantial quantity of cash was seized at an address in the marina development in Holyhead.
A 34-year-old man was arrested in a follow-up search on suspicion of money laundering, being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs and other unrelated driving offences.
Detective Sergeant Dafydd Curry said: “The warrants were conducted under Section 8 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act in connection with Serious and Organised Crime.
“As a result two local men, aged 32 and 34, have been arrested.”
Both men are currently in custody in Caernarfon.
