An appeal to trace David Daniel Hayes, 37, has finally been issued by North Wales Police - more than six months after he went on the run

A former Bangor City FC press officer who went on the run after being charged with child sex offences may have fled the country, police say.
David Daniel Hayes, 38, of Llanrwst, last appeared in court on November 24.
He has been wanted by North Wales Police since then, although they have just this afternoon released an appeal to try and trace him.
In a statement North Wales Police said that Hayes, who is accused of raping a child and other sex offences against children on Anglesey, is believed to have left the region after his first court appearance last year.
He was due to appear at Mold Crown Court on December 18 where he was expected to enter a plea.

However, he failed to return to court and warrants were issued for his arrest last December.
A spokesman for the police says that all forces throughout the United Kingdom have been notified of the outstanding warrant on Hayes.
But despite "extensive enquiries" he has not been located.
Police say his current whereabouts are presently unknown but it is believed he may have travelled abroad.
Extensive efforts to trace him continue, but the assistance of the public is requested.
Detective Chief Inspector Andrew Williams said: "I am appealing to anyone who knows the whereabouts of David Daniel Hayes, or who may have any information which could assist the police in locating him, to contact North Wales Police”.
“I would also appeal to Mr Hayes directly to come forward.

"The matter will not go away and it is in his interests to present himself to the authorities”.
North Wales Police and the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) were criticised last year over the way they handled Hayes' case.
At Hayes' first court appearance back in November, Judge Rhys Rowlands slammed the CPS and the police for failing to have the allegations brought to trial within three months of the allegations first being made.
Just this week, children’s charity the NSPCC urged the police to consider issuing a public appeal in a bid to trace Hayes.
Hayes has previously lived in Gwynedd, Anglesey and Llanrwst.
Anyone with information should call North Wales Police on 101, quoting reference.
