A NORTH Wales man has been warned that he was in a serious position after he admitted a total of 26 sexual offences.
Defendant Stephen Chambers, 49, of no fixed abode but from Prestatyn, was remanded in custody pending sentence in October.
Judge Rhys Rowlands, sitting at Mold Crown Court, ordered him to register with the police as a sex offender in the meantime.
He said that the case was a particularly serious one, although his early guilty pleas were important so that he would receive credit in sentencing.
Chambers appeared in the dock and admitted seven charges of rape of a child, one charge of sexual activity, three of indecent assault, three of assault by penetration, five charges of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and seven offences involving indecent photographs and movies including those he made himself.
Defending barrister Simon Mills said that his client appreciated that he was in a grave position in respect of the inditement against him.
The judge said that he would reserve sentence to himself.
Chambers would need to be assessed to consider the issue of dangerousness, he said.
He adjourned the case for a mention date in September and said that sentencing would take place in October.
