A man and his teenage daughter were tied up and assaulted by robbers who ransacked their home last night.
The family were subjected to a terrifying ordeal after two men broke into the property in Rhyl Avenue, Kinmel Bay just before 11pm.
Cable ties were used to tie up the father, aged 50 and his 19-year-old daughter while the men stole money and phones.
The father was assaulted with a knuckle duster before the men fled in a silver coloured car.
DS Mark Doyle at St Asaph CID said: “At about 10:55pm on Monday August, 29 the 50-year-old man was at his home in Rhys Avenue, Kinmel Bay, with his 19 year old daughter, when two men entered the house and tied up the occupants.
“The father was then assaulted and the offenders left with money and phones.
“We believe the two men left the area in a silver/grey coloured estate type vehicle, possibly an Audi or a BMW, which is said to have blacked out windows.”
One of the men is described as being in his early 20s of medium build.
He had dark brown hair and was clean shaven.
He was wearing a black Adidas hoody, grey/black tracksuit bottoms and black gloves. He was wearing tan coloured women’s tights over his head at the time of the incident.
The second man is described as being white, in his early 20s, around 5’6” to 5’7” tall.
He was wearing a grey Adidas hooded top with blue stripes on the sleeves, dark grey shiny tracksuit trousers and dark grey Nike trainers with blue stripes. At the time of incident he was wearing a black balaclava.
