An 18 year old man has been charged with kidnap, rape and wounding of a female, following an incident on Pensarn beach during the early hours of Saturday morning.
The man has been remanded in custody to appear before Llandudno Magistrates today.
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have been in the area at this time. Any witnesses are requested to contact 101 quoting incident number U129324.
Superintendent Alex Goss said: “I would like to reassure the local community that whilst it is understandable that people will be concerned when they hear about occurrences like this, that this was an isolated incident.”
