Llandudno,North Wales - Travellers set up camp at Llandudno Junction car dealership

Travellers have set up camp at a Llandudno Junction car dealership.
They arrived at about 6pm on Sunday at Premier Toyota’s site on the Tre Marl industrial estate.
Three caravans and four other vehicles arrived after apparently being moved on by police from another site on the estate.
North Wales Police confirmed they were aware of the trespass, but said it is a civil matter for the business to pursue.
A spokesman for the Premier Toyota dealership said: “The police had moved them on from somewhere else on the estate and, instead of going off, they came onto our site.
“The local police were here first thing this morning, but it’s a trespass and it’s not in their jurisdiction.”

Women and children were in their caravans at the site when the Daily post visited, and children could be seen playing in the car park before being ushered back into the homes.
The Premier Toyota spokesman said: “We are in dialogue with the travellers and hope we can come to an amicable conclusion.”
Although the business has not yet been affected by the visitors, the spokesman said the travellers’ vehicles are taking up parking spaces.
“We are having to organise things and meet people on the door because they feel intimidated,” he said.

“If we have someone coming in to buy a car, it might cause us a problem.”
The business, which has been in Llandudno Junction since 1946, said this is the first time anything like this has happened, but added that it will take steps to prevent anything similar happening again.
“We will be installing more security after this incident,” the spokesman said.
“There have been no demands, but we are working with them to reach a quick and peaceful solution.”
Conwy council said the matter is a private one as the trespass was not on council land.
