Flint,North Wales - Man rescued at Flint Castle after becoming stuck knee-deep in mud

A man had to be rescued after getting stuck in mud at Flint Castle this morning.
He was found knee-deep with his left leg completely stuck metres from the bank just after 6.10am today.
Flint Coastguard Rescue Team was alerted by Holyhead Coastguard to the incident and called Rhyl Coastguard Rescue Team for assistance.

This mud is black and smells like Sewage, in fact I think it is Sewage!

Two specialist mud technicians used equipment to pull the man free and lifted him onto a stretcher.
He was taken to a waiting ambulance to be checked over as a precaution.
A spokesman from Rhyl Coastguard Rescue Team said: “Our full mud team was requested to assist Flint Coastguard Rescue Team with a person stuck in mud by Flint Castle.

“On scene, the casualty was only a couple of metres from the bank but completely stuck.
“Two mud technicians from Rhyl were deployed to the mud to extract casualty, and assisted by Flint and Rhyl teams.
“The casualty was transported to Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust for assessment.
“Excellent teamwork.”
