Anglesey,North Wales - Ten people in court over alleged £650,000 fraud and money laundering conspiracy

Most of the eight men and two women who are from Anglesey, Gwynedd and Denbighshire entered pleas at Caernarfon Crown Court today

Eight men and two women appeared in court at Caernarfon in a case involving allegations of fraud and money laundering involving amounts up to £653,000.
The 31 offences were said to have happened between 2012 and 2016.
The 10 from Anglesey , Gwynedd and Denbighshire , appeared at a plea and trial preparation hearing for a trial to be held next year.
Mark Williams, 33, of Bro Rhythallt, Llanrug , Caernarfon, pleaded guilty to converting criminal property by cashing cheques of £27,000.
David Cashman, 27, of Seiriol Road, Bangor , pleaded not guilty to two charges of converting criminal property by cashing two cheques of£18,000 and £980 as well as a third charge of laundering £5,030.
Mandy Jones, 41, of Bron y Graig, Llangefni, pleaded not guilty to two offences of laundering £5,316.20 and £4,200 received from Steven Charles Jones.
Steven Charles Jones, 38, of Maeshyfryd Road, Llangefni pleaded not guilty to two charges of converting criminal property by cashing cheques of £8,900 and £34,200 also four counts of fraud by completing work allegedly priced £64,916.20, £653,510.84, £5,200 and £3,530, one count of laundering £17,040 and one of transferring criminal property of £4,990 and one of running a fraudulent business.
Lewis Macauley, 30, Newry Street, Holyhead , pleaded not guilty to converting criminal property – a £900 cheque.
Caryn Owen, 51, Queens Avenue, Bangor, pleaded not guilty to transferring criminal property of £13,521 and laundering £55,123.
Sean Parlour, of Berwyn Street, Llangollen , pleaded not guilty to laundering £8,000.
Christopher Pollitt, 43, Thornley Avenue, Rhyl , pleaded not guilty to converting criminal property of £7,000.
Daniel Lee Taylor, 30, Isgraig, Llangefni, pleaded guilty to two counts of fraud of £5,200 and £3,530.
Similar charges were not put to Bedwyr Fon Roberts, 34, of Queens Avenue, Bangor who will plead at a hearing on September 1.
Judge Niclas Parry ordered a pre-sentence report on Mark Williams.
The defendants were bailed until February 1 next year with an expected two-week-long trial to start on March 20.
