A YOUNG woman from Wrexham took a car within three days of being released from prison.
Kirsty Sutherland, 28, was released from a jail sentence on Friday.
But within three days she had taken a car and drove it without insurance.
Sutherland, of no fixed address, had been allowed to stay at a house in Wrexham.
But while there she took the car from the garage.
She appeared from custody at Flintshire Magistrates Court at Mold and was jailed for six weeks and banned from driving for six months.
Sutherland, who admitted both offences, had previously served a prison sentence for dangerous driving.
Ceri Evans, defending, said her client was realistic and appreciated she had put herself in a serious position so soon after being released from prison.
Sutherland was always pleasant, polite and a bright young woman, but something happened when she had a drink and she acted on impulse, Ms Evans explained.
She had taken the car but had returned it voluntarily in an undamaged condition
