Swansea,South Wales - Man punched unconscious in unprovoked attack in Chick-O-Land on Swansea's Wind Street

Ryan Jamie Jehu was sentenced at Swansea Crown Court for an unprovoked attack on a customer in Chick-O-Land
A CUSTOMER in a Swansea takeaway was punched unconscious and had this jaw broken in two place in an unprovoked late-night attack, a court has heard.
The victim needed metal plates inserted in his jaw and was unable to eat sold foods for six weeks after Ryan Jamie Jehu hit him while they waited for food in Chick-O-Land on Wind Street.
Swansea Crown Court heard Jehu and the victim were engaged in "light-hearted banter" in the hot chicken shop in the early hours of May 1 when, without warning, Jehu punched the teenager in the face as he sat with friends.
The court heard the victim was knocked unconscious by the blow — but that Jehu followed it up with five or six more punches before being dragged away.

Police were called, and the defendant later told officers he had hit the teenager because he had made fun of his clothes.
Jehu, aged 23, of Maes-y-Dre, Caersws, Powys, pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm when he appeared in the dock.
The court heard his victim underwent surgery at Morriston Hospital following the attack, and needed metal plates and screws inserted into his jaw. He was unable to eat solid food for six weeks.
Craig Jones, for Jehu, said the warehouse supervisor came from a close and supportive family who were disgusted at what he had done. He said his client was genuinely remorseful, adding that aside from the attack he was an "amiable and likeable young man".
Judge Keith Thomas told Jehu he had launched an unprovoked attack on a defenceless man while in drink.
The judge sentenced Jehu to 14 months in prison suspended for 12 months, ordered him to complete 180 hours of unpaid work, and made him the subject of 9pm to 5am curfew.
Jehu will also have to pay his victim £2,500 compensation.
