A police officer was threatened and verbally abused by a train passenger who did not have a valid ticket.
At about 11.50am on Monday, July 25, the passenger was removed from a train at Rhyl station.
When the PCSO spoke to him, he was subjected to a barrage of abuse from the man.
The passenger became threatening and abusive and tried to intimidate the officer by getting close to his face.
The PCSO also saw a hammer in the man’s holdall.
The man then jumped over the ticket barriers and ran out of the station.
It is believed the man had been travelling to Liverpool.
Investigating officer PC Harry Thompson said: “We would like to speak to the man in this image as we believe he may have valuable information in relation to this incident.
“We will not tolerate violent behaviour of any kind on our railways and so are committed to finding out who did this.”
Anyone with information is asked to call PC Thompson on 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016, quoting 239 of 25/07/16.
