Three men are being hunted by police after the incident at the Spar store on Coast Road

A shop worker had a glass bottle smashed over his head when he challenged three suspected shoplifters last night.
The employee at the new Spar shop on Rhyl’s Coast Road needed hospital treatment after the incident.
The incident happened at around 10pm last night when he approached three men believed to have been stealing. Police are now investigating.
A customer who was in the shop not long after it happened told the Daily Post: “I was in the store when I heard a member of staff tell another a shoplifter had smashed a bottle over his head.
“He looked in quite a bit of pain.”
A North Wales Police spokesman said: “We were called to the Spar store in Rhyl at 9.57pm last night to reports a man had been assaulted by three suspected shoplifters who made off. He was not seriously hurt.
“The offenders are described as being 6ft tall and of slim build.
“One was wearing a black top, one was wearing a white top and the other was wearing a grey top.”
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said they weren’t required to attend.
A Spar spokeswoman said: "An incident took place in our Coast Road store where three men left the store without paying.
"One of our staff was attacked as he tried to stop the men and was taken to hospital, but received no major injuries.
"We take this matter very seriously and our priority is the safety of our staff. We are working with police as they investigate this case."
