Rachel Evans and partner William Hughes were found guilty of running a drugs den at their home in Bro Tudur

Llangefni woman on benefits who had a £100 a day heroin habit has been jailed along with her partner for running a drugs den.
Police raided the home of Rachel Evans and her partner William Hughes and found drugs and other paraphernalia.
When officers arrived at the flat in Bro Tudur, they found Evans, 39, Hughes, 44, and two other men.
There was fine brown powder on a tray and a photo frame, which was being used to cut the heroin with caffeine and paracetamol.
Two other bags were found, along with scales and a spoon with burn marks on it.
Prosecutor Eleri Owen told Caernarfon crown court: “Once at Caernarfon custody suite a full strip search of Evans was undertaken. Police recovered a clear bag containing brown powder which had been concealed in Evans’ vagina. The value of this drug, if split into 59 street deals, would be £590.
Miss Owen said Evans, who was on benefits, said the heroin was for her own use.

“The defendant said her habit ranged from £40 to £100 per day but declined to say how she funded it.”
Miss Owen said Hughes had claimed the other men in his flat were friends.
She said: “Both said they were dealing to a small group of heroin users to fund their own use of heroin.”
Jonathan Austin for Evans asked the court to “give her one last chance.”
Michael Whitty for Hughes asked for a suspended custodial sentence.
His Honour Judge Geraint Walters said: “The supply of heroin is one of the great evils in today’s society. It wrecks the lives of all of those have anything to do with it.”
He said drug suppliers who “peddle misery” should expect custodial sentences.
The judge added: “It was a commercial operation. You effectively lived in a drug den. You knew precisely what was going on. You were business partners.”
Both were given three years.
