The incident, which happened in Llandudno Junction on Saturday, is being investigated by North Wales Police

Two cyclists were taken to hospital after an incident involving a car in Llandudno Junction.

Mr Williams says he was riding up Conway Road when he was clipped by a car late Saturday morning.

The impact caused him to crash into pro cyclist Alex Harvey who was riding alongside him.
Both men were treated at the scene before being taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd .
Mr Harvey sustained cracked ribs and shoulder damage while Mr Williams also received a shoulder injury.
North Wales Police confirmed they were investigating the incident.
The bike-cam footage shows the car following the pair through Llandudno Junction before sounding its horn and overtaking at a pedestrian crossing.
At that moment, Mr Williams comes off his bike and his water bottle can be seen rolling across the road.
A pedestrian then comes to his aid.
Mr Harvey, who cycles for NFTO Pro Cycling Team, said the car failed to stop after the incident.
He added: “The car, a VW Golf had been following us from Conwy and was driving in a perfectly sensible manner.
“Then when we were riding up the hill in Llandudno Junction he started hooting.
“He then decided to overtake in a very unsuitable place, his car a VW Golf knocked Bryn’s handlebars and so he collided into me and I ended going into the metal barriers.

'Still in shock'

“If I’d gone head first into the barriers at an awkward angle, I could easily have been killed.”
Alex, who lives in Pentre Halkyn said the motorist then “just drove off”
He added: “I cycle with my team all over Europe, but it’s only in the UK where you get these kind of problems.
“I’m still in a state of shock about it.
“I wasn’t in a good way on Saturday and I’ve sustained a shoulder injury which isn’t great for my career.”
Jason Breaky, who is a friend of the two men, arrived on the scene after the incident.
He said: “I was shocked to see the state of Alex and Bryn, Alex was throwing up as he was in such a severe state of shock.
“His helmet has an imprint of the railings, and is broken into two.
“They are both more than competent cyclists, but this sort of incident happens all the time.”
A spokesman from North Wales Police said: “At 11.27am last Saturday we were called to Conwy Road, Llandudno Junction.
“Two cyclists have been involved with a collision with a silver VW Golf.
“They sustained minor injuries and were taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.
“Investigations are ongoing, if anyone has any information please call 101 quoting reference RC16120864.”
