Police are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery in Caerleon on Sunday.
A spokesman for Gwent Police confirmed the incident happened in Cross Street at around 12.40pm.
Officers want to identify the man in the photograph, who they believe may be able to help with their inquiries.
They are asking members of the public not to approach him, but to report any sightings.
The victim is receiving support and specialist officers are investigating the incident.
Local policing commander Superintendent Glyn Fernquest said: “These types of incidents are very rare in Gwent Police area.
“We are determined to bring those who commit serious crimes to justice.”
He added: “We will be doing to our utmost to work with our partners, not only to arrest those responsible, but to ensure the ongoing safety of our communities.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, or 999 in an emergency, with reference 283 of July 17.
